These little darlings are among my favorites because, like the stalwart black capped chickadee, they stick with us through the long cold Minnesota winters. 🥰

Wow! I’m in Michigan and watching flocks head south is bitter-sweet! That little guy has many talents. Very good survival tools as birds go.

I learned a lot today. Thanks for your share.

Woodpeckers daily brought joy to my home. The rap-rap-rap on our metal chimney pipe … then, the answers from adjacent chimneys. Laughter every morning; gifts from our tiny dinosaurs.

I am so excited to learn about this little guy snd all their hidden talents, too! I didn’t know woodpeckers came in this size. I’m glad they are common enough that you see them and have great abilities: they make friends with other bird groups and hang out with them! Love it! They sure have developed some strong survival skills. There are humans with less I hate to say! 😂 well…running to Florida or island resorts when it gets cold comes to mind! LOL

Thanks for the bird break. It’s really a highlight of my week and I need to fit you in as a priority. Muchos gracias!
