I love this SO much. My little guy, Finn the Wonder Dog, was picked up in March 2020 off the streets of LA and taken to a high kill shelter. He was rescued by Woofin’ Palooza, a shelter in Portland, Oregon, along with seven huskies. Finn looks like Toto, but he’s half Chihuahua. He’s the smartest, sweetest dog I have ever known. My great-uncle, Edward Ueeck was a musher/trapper/sourdough in Alaska. He’s served in WWI and during WWII he sent his dog to war to defend America. Ed’s life is the subject of the book “The Man from Sheep Mountain”.
We lost our husky, Remi, to cancer in early May. It was a complete shock: he was fine one day, gone three days later. Before he retired he ran dryland racing (and some snow). We went straight to a breeder who does both showing and racing, to make sure we had a good leader. We’ll rescue another to round out the team so my daughter can get back into racing.
Look at that guy!
He’s sooo handsome! And rotten!

Ahhh, the sound when they sing the song of their people. 🐺
Give him hugs for me. And hugs and good luck to you for the next two years of puppyhood.
We definitely know what we're in for. Kermit is our fifth Siberian! The others have all passed.
